David Cole, R.Ph, has spent over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry and served in many capacities including manufacturing, medical affairs, research administration, marketing, and managed care marketing and sales. David co-developed ClaimTrax, a software solution which provides analytical services to Pharma for measuring the effectiveness of their managed care contracts through the analysis of pharmacy claims on a national basis.

He also owns a retail pharmacy that provides him a view from negotiating managed care contracts to the end result of how they impact physicians, pharmacists, and patients at the dispensing level.

He is a lifetime honorary member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and has made significant contributions to the profession working in the pharmaceutical industry, academia and managed care. He was primarily responsible for the creation of the Rorer Business Institute at the Kellogg Business School of Northwestern University and was a pioneer whose direct actions helped put managed care pharmacy on the map.
